What's an 'intrinsically safe' camera?

Maybe it's a fuel oil tanker and normal electric devices aren't allowed (much as you shouldn't use a mobile in a petrel station)? Or just that it's a poor translation of a more rugged camera like a go-pro etc

Intrinsically safe equipment is defined as "equipment and wiring which is incapable of releasing sufficient electrical or thermal energy under normal or abnormal conditions to cause ignition of a specific hazardous atmospheric mixture in its most easily ignited concentration."
I use Intrinsically safe radios in my job for communicate with.
