Message: <blockquote data-quote="cavan wood" data-source="post: 1331040" data-attributes="member: 106919">Cnybirder has shown several dead ringer matches for this bird in the form of a Harlan's morph of red-tail.  Rough-legs and Ferruginous have feathered tarsi, this bird doesn't.  This bird does not have the giant gape of a FH.  This bird has checkered underside, the RLH and FH not so much.  The level of banding on this bird's tail is perfect for juvy Harlan's, not so for the others.  And this bird has primaries that are barred right to the tip.  RLH and FH don't have this.   Scott</blockquote>
