I agree James, I too have noticed how many pictures seem to have lots of thumbs up without being that great. There are many good photos on Birdguides but equally there are many very poor shots of common species too, I guess there is much difference between beginer birders/photographers and birders who have been in the game for many years. Admittedly I do have to laugh at some photos and comments as they are so poor, but as you say Adam probably best not to put people off by criticising them for their work.</blockquote>
