[QUOTE="deboo, post: 1303927, member: 4546"] Good idea for a thread Chewy - funny that no one has done this before ;) I'm a swimmer! I go at least 4 times a week and swim over a mile each time. It's chuffing great. I feel so much better after each swim (am knackered too). It's funny that usually my head is so full of carp at any given time, but once i'm swimming all i can think about is breathing (obviously), my form and how many lengths i've done. That's it - no worries or concerns or anything. Also i've noticed that there are more 'smiles' per pool than you'd ever find out birding. I have some rather pleasant chats in the showers after too :). Funny how you can be stood there in your skimp chatting with total strangers (usually women) and can happily chew the fat about the merits of Head and Shoulders over Wash and Go, or what does White Diamond actually smell like in your fabric softener. I'm all for this swimming malarky and i'd certainly rather head to the pool now than join the tutting, smelly and socially morose bunch of birders you'd usually find at the local sewage works. :) Of course there are exceptions....and they prove the rule eh? keep it up! dave...
