Birding by Points 2010 (1 Viewer)

nickderry

C'est pas ma faute, je suis anglais.
I've just figured out mine, it is 1995, funnily enough the same year that I was born!. Could have got better but I've been confined to Sussex almost all year so far. My highlights, and which got 180 points between them, were self-found Cattle Egret and Glaucous Gull. Also, do you think I could get a bonus for first Grasshopper Warbler of the year accross the British Isles in 2010? (3 April)
Just a thought

it's been so long since I was born, I can't remember how to count! Let's hope it's just the beer.

just one more tick since my last post, but being an SF Long-tailed Duck it did add another 35 points to my total, which is now 2270.

All the basic spring migrants added for me since last update, with ring ouzel, willow warbler, yellow wag, sedgie etc.

High light of the spring so far was a stunning male marsh harrier which I found on saturday at ballyvergan reedbed in east cork. Marsh harriers are quite scarce here, but males are as rare as hens teeth! And only a meager 20 points for that! ;)

Shenanigans! :D

Getting there...
Sorry, not updated for a while. Afraid I've not gone up that far, my current total is now 2705.

Birds since last time I updated are - Chiffchaff, Swallow, Willow Warbler, Redstart, Little Owl, Wheatear, Blackcap, LRP, Tree Pipit, Cuckoo, Ring Ouzel, Hobby, Swift, Garden Warbler, Whitethroat, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Iberian Chiffchaff, Sand Martin, House Martin and Montagu's Harrier.

I have been very busy and out of the country for two weeks during that time - that's my excuse anyway!

like several others, sorry for lack of posting, I'm afraid that with this thread hardly ever ever appearing as updated I lost track of it!:eek!:anyway I'm on 2605 at the moment, including 10 point bonus from devilbirder (cheers mate:t:) for the very early gropper. My highlights snce last post have been SF Arctic, Black and Little Tern; Avocet, Turtle Dove, Marsh Harrier, Temminck's Stint, Arctic Skua and Bonxie. Hardly great, but sadly for me rarities are always hard to come by in sussex and this has been an absolutely dreadful year:-C

good luck to everyone:t:
