Can anyone recommend a local knowledgable bird guide for the Monteverde or Manuel Antonio areas? Previous posts seem to be out of date and links expired.

Anytime I plan a trip to Costa Rica I first reach out to Patrick O'Donnell (Contact Patrick O’Donnell | Costa Rica Living and Birding) and Randall Ortega Chavez (apparently now at Home Nature - Nature Group ). It's been a while since I've been there, but it looks like both are still guiding. They also co-authored the Costa Rica Birds Field Guide birding app. Great birders, and fantastic guides

I'm guessing you've found what you need, but I had excellent guides in both those areas: Johan Chaves in the Manuel Antonio area (Manuel antonio birding guide | Johan Chaves nature and birding tours) and Adrian Mendez in Monteverde (Adrian Mendez - Monteverde Birdwatching and Nature Tours)
