Thought I'd let you you know how I got on. Not very well at all really as I was hit early in the holiday by a harsh fever which left me feeling very tired and lazy for the rest of the holiday. It was not a total loss as I did have a nice enough trip anyway. Black Wheatear and Monk Parakeet were ticks. Dipped the Sandgrouse on the only trip to Lleida plains and left out the Pyrennees altogether for a dedicated trip sometime soon. Paid a visit to the Garraf quite a few times but sadly no luck with Bonelli's Eagles, a nice place to dip anyway. The Ebro Delta (southern half) was very enjoyable. Butterflies were good. Sage Skippers, Tree Graylings, Great Banded Graylings, Two-tailed Pashas, Lang's Short-tailed Blues, Long-tailed Blues, Bath Whites, Mallow Skippers, Plain Tigers and many commoner species and other unidentified fly bys. Easy enough to get into Barcelona on the train too for a 'Gaudi' day tour. Currently the southern half of Llobregat (Remolar I think) is devoid of water. Maybe filled up now but the northern section (Ricarda?) was okay. On the whole the Catalonia region is a good place for casual birding as well as landscape photography. I'd recommend it. I struggled to find any English leaflets/booklets but there were some cracking booklets in Spanish/Catalan with routes and walks in the Barcelona district full of maps, photos, info, etc. I picked up a spare copy of each (four) to post to anyone who might want them if they can stump up the postage. Thanks again for all the responses to this thread.
