Birding Savannah? (1 Viewer)

I have a work trip to Savannah, Georgia next week, and I will have a free day either side when I hope to fit in a bit of birding. Any suggestions for birding sites easily accessible from Downtown Savannah - preferably without the need to hire a car- would be gratefully received.

Of course, the time of year will make a difference, especially for warblers around the town squares. A car is probably essential for the better birding to be had outside the city. The US doesn't "do" public transport outside the biggest cities!

Thanks David, I'll try and take in Forsyth park, even if the chances of warbler are slim to zero in January.

You should be able to get Palm Warbler and Yellow-rumped Warbler in January in Savannah, Georgia, I would think. Maybe a few others.
