It is also riddled with innaccuracies and gross ignorance of facts. Moreover, the lie tactics of BLM and CABS cannot be ignored. I can in no way be interpreted to be excusing Government's inefficiency or condoning the shooting of protected species but when faced with situations like this I must speak up.How many of you, for example, commented about the fact that all through September, BLM screamed massacre and murder of an unimaginable scale only to report last week that illegal birds gunned down numbered 55 when all along you were under the impression that it would be thousands?  Isn't this what you were led to believe? Isn't it also true that you were given the impression that the persecuted birds are raptors and storks when in the same report they also mention bee eaters and swallows? Of the same 55 one would assume. That a bee eater or swallow is shot is equally condemnable but how much more sensationalisation weight does a dead raptor lend to one's cause? To those of you that are not in league with these deceptive tactics and have genuinely been alarmed at what happens in Malta based on these hearsay remarks, can't you see that you are being deceived?Mr. David Conlin, on his Proact site declared that he will not relent in his activity until Malta is a bird hunting-free zone, and these are just the unrelenting tactics that Mr Conlin and his group are using in an attempt to reach his final aim. Yes fine, now one of you is going to remark that you hope he manages to reach his goal but that still doesn't mean that he is trying to achieve it by honest means.I would love to see your criticism aimed solely at the Maltese authorities and at the poachers. I know you already do, but limit it to that, because yv also got weeds growing in your garden and stopping short of demanding the same treatment for your country is nothing more than a clear case of two weights and two measures. That the RSPB and your police are successful in nabbing and prosecuting offenders is always welcome and commendable but utterly irrelevant.
