Message: <blockquote data-quote="ovenbird43" data-source="post: 1217334" data-attributes="member: 64478">Yikes!  I've heard that Fayetteville used to be almost as bad.  My boyfriend told me that years ago, a couple of guys in a truck stopped in front of him while he was on his bike, got out, and harassed him because "bikes don't belong on the road".  Apparently it's much improved here, I occasionally get honked at, shouted out, or get nailed with flying trash... but not very often.re: helmets, I always wear one.  In fact, the visor on it really helps keep the sun out of my eyes.  I'm sure a serious wreck would still break many bones, but if there's anything that will reduce the risk of cracking my skull, I'm all for it.</blockquote>
