When they narrow the street if it's too narrow for a car to pass you *safely* then just take the middle of the lane. Do your traffic systems have any form of Health & Safety assessment before they are approved ? If so it may be worth your while getting hold of a copy to see just what consideration or provision was to be made for bicycles and their safety. And whether or not that consideration / provision actually materialised. And as for trimming the street down, i reckon if they trimmed out the car parking spaces in my town there'd be room enough for a *useable* cycle lane along every road.</blockquote>
