Birds of Warwickshire (6 Viewers)

7/10/12 Hartshill, 14:43 Redwing High over Oldbury Hall gardens heading SW.
Mancetter Hills 6 Swallow, 15:09 4 Jays high over the Leicester plane came in and headed NW.

8/10/12 Hartshill vis mig early movement of Woodpigeon with a group of 100 NW. As expected Redwings 24 SW, 9 NW and 12 grounded.
Along a piece of hedge were 11 Redwing, 5 Blackbird a Song Thrush. A male Brambling with 6 Chaffinch with the resident Linnets and Yellowhammer. Full details Trektellen Great Britain.

19/10/12 Hartshill vis mig today only a light passage noted, foggy over the Leicestershire plane, birds are late moving from the continent this year compared to last year.

Visable migration watch at Burton Dasset Hills (south Warwickshire) this morning. 07:20 to 09:20. All movement going south to south east.

Fieldfare 45, Redwing 282, Un-ID'd thrushes 22 and Wood Pigeon 128 with 1 Stock Dove tagging along. Very little of anything else, Meadow Pipit 6, Chaffinch 8, Linnet 5, Skylark 4, (Lesser) Redpoll 1 and Siskin 2.
4 Raven were also present.

Was in Norfolk since Tuesday, on the coast the fog cleared by Thursday 25/10/12 but Ring Ouzels, Redwing, Song Thrush, Fieldfare, Blackbird, Chaffinch, Brambling were still in number on Friday. Wednesday 24/10/12 Cley Beach Dead Long-eared Owl and Blakeney Point on new tideline 10 Dead Redwing and 2 Blackbird ( mostly wings only) suggests birds dropping into the sea.

Vis mig Hartshill Hayes CP 26/10/12 Steve Haynes 862 Redwing, 371 Fieldfare, 1 Brambling, 20 Chaffinch, 10 Siskin.
Today 27/10/12 Mancetter Quarry view big influx of Woodpigeon with 1707 SW with small Redwing and Firedfare movemnt, full details Trektellen Great Britain.

2/5/12 Hartshill mainly Fieldfare movement noted this morning on vis mig. Appears some may have come in over night and roosted along the ridge.

3/11/12 Hartshill, Moorwood just before dawn a Brambling with 3 Chaffinch.
Hartshill vis mig Fieldfare still coming in 189 noted also a few Redwing 31, a push of Woodpigeon 189 and a Brambling over.
