Help! From the next in my courtyard about 3 meters high, 5 young birds fluttered down to the ground a week ago. The two strongest have managed to fly out, the others are being fed by their parents regularly (and I put food out, because they take ages to find food locally and can only feed one bird at a time). The youngest/ smallest of the three is not eating. It just stands around and looks the other way when one of the parents approaches. It does not cheep to let them know where it is, as the others do, and when they find it and offer food it does not open its mouth. Very occasionally it gets something. In general the other two are fed FIVE TIMES MORE OFTEN than the little one, who is looking more and more depressed. What can I do?

Hi again Hopscotch - I think the Garden Birds forum is rather more appropriate for your question, so I've moved it there.

Sadly, I think this youngster may be doomed. I'm guessing there may be something wrong with it, so the adults will not tend to it in the way they do with the other two.

However, have a look at our general guidelines here for the care of injured and baby birds and perhaps have a word with a local wildlife rescue or vet to see what they advise. Maybe taking a picture of it will help them work out what may be wrong.

Please let us know how you get on.

cannot find your section "Garden Birds"

Sorry, it is a rather large forum. However, here is a direct link to your thread now: Blackbird, fledgling / odd behaviour

If you scroll down the front page to the Birds and Birding section, it is about halfway down in that area.

Also, if you look at the top of this page, you will see the name of the forum your post is in: Garden Birds, Bird Feeding and Nest Boxes. It's actually a link, so clicking on it will open that forum, where you should see your post.
