The reservoir made a change from Midd Lakes for the last three days of August.
29/8- 9 Barnacle Geese, 4 Egyptian Geese, 16 Goosander, 1 Peregrine, 43 Ringed Plover, 2 Snipe, 4 Curlew, 10 Greenshank, 1 Common Sandpiper, 6 Ruff, 1 Oystercatcher, circa 50 Common Tern and 2 Wheatear.
30/8- 1 Great White Egret, 1 Barnacle Goose, 7 Goosander, 26 Ringed Plover, 1 Snipe, 3 Curlew, 1 Black-tailed Godwit, 4 Greenshank, 1 Common Sandpiper, 4 Dunlin, 4 Ruff and circa 40 Common Tern.
31/8- 1 Great White Egret, 12 Ringed Plover, 1 Turnstone, 9 Curlew, 1 Spotted Redshank, 1 Greenshank, 6 Ruff, 1 Oystercatcher and 2 Spotted Flycatcher.
This still seems to be the prime site for waders in the West Midlands.
