Blue-winged Teal at Saltholme RSPB (1 Viewer)

This bird can be elusive but the chances are that the bird will almost certainly still be about. It's still undergoing its moult (I believe).

It was still present on the Allotment Pool early afternoon today. As Andrew says it's elusive at times. The last few days it's been seen in the NE corner giving very good views until it once again disappears into the reeds.

There was no sign of it at 12.30 when I was there but around 11.00-12.00 it had been giving good views. A friend took a few photos of it. It is still in moult but the white face crescent is showing better now and the blue wing panels look very nice on the flight photo he took.

It was showing well this morning coming close to the NE corner occasionally else in the SW corner mostly feeding in the open when I was there.
