Message: <blockquote data-quote="sidwithey" data-source="post: 1402901" data-attributes="member: 61892">Great trip report, it brought back great memories as we did this trip ending on the weekend before yours.  Looks like the rainy season had started for you, we'd had  few electrical storms but little rain, and consequently very high temperatures.  Constant exhortations from our guide to drink a minimum of 2-3L of water a day.As you mention the wildlife was superb.  The Chobe boat trip was unforgettable with close viewings of a great variety of birds and mammals, plus large crocs and monitor lizards.We had several people who had been on East African safaris previously.  Their verdict was that the closeness and variety of the game viewing was of the highest standard.  As we had excellent viewings of all three big cats plus wild dog (sorry!!), myself as a first timer was well and truly spoilt.  The bush camping was a great experience, no noise, street lights, electric, running water but lots of sand,  and I think bout 70 miles from the nearest town.I'd love to go back maybe earlier in the year, when everything is green and certainly when Victoria falls are in full spate.Sid</blockquote>
