Brazilian hummer from the gallery (1 Viewer)

I don't know this species but looks ok for (immature?) male judging by ebird images. Perhaps the throat colour led to doubts? ... Suggest the colour in this pic is just down to ambient light:-- usually appears pink

It was actually the grey underside that threw me off. I can find a few images where there might be grey on the underside once you are past the images labeled "best". This was not mentioned in my field guides from Brazil, and likewise not mentioned in BotW.

Ah. I didn't register this as especially grey as I could see the green notes in it. I often see hummers with poorly developed colours like this which, if not due to lighting, I think denotes immaturity

And seeing this image on the third different screen I think I see some as well. I will therefore agree with you on immature male for this one. It is important because we do not have a representation for something like this in the opus page at the moment.
