British Birds Journal (1 Viewer)

Has anyone received their April British Birds Journal. I haven received my hard copy of the British Birds Journal and no sign of the April Digital Online British Birds Journal as well. I’ve emailed British Birds Journal. No reply as of yet. My account is up to date and doesn't expire until November 2025 when I have to renew. I always receive both within a few days at the beginning of each month. Thanks if anyone has any idea what is happening at the present time

I haven't had mine yet. Now I've said that, Sodd's Law says it'll probably come today.

It always used to come out, digitally, on the 1st of the month, but lately it comes when it comes and BB haven’t/don’t communicate with their subscribers. Personally, as a subscriber for 43 years, I find that poor treatment.

No sign of my printed copy - I ignore the online version even though I am involuntarily paying for it. In the past it always seemed to arrive the first dsaturday of the month but the last couple of issues have arrived mid-month with no explanation or apology.

Same here: I'm not particularly interested in the digital version and delivery of the printed copy has become more erratic lately with April's issue yet to arrive. I'm beginning to lose interest in this journal...

Me too, which I find a very great pity. I've been taking it since the 1960's and always greatly looked forward to its monthly arrival.

Has anyone received there hard copy of the British Birds Journal. It will be shortly getting to the month the May British Birds Journal should be arrive. Let alone that the hard copy of the April 2025 has not arrived at least for me. I have a feeling that the upgrade of British Birds which was announced in 2024 must be having problems. I haven’t had a reply to my email last week to British Birds.

Mine came on Thursday.
I was surprised to see that the number of paying subscribers is only around 3,500. I always thought it was way higher than that.

As I’m a subscriber of both the hard copy and the online British Birds Journal. I have access to every edition of the Birds Journal online right back to edition 1 in 1907. An article from 1907 in the British Birds Journal was about the possibility of the Osprey becoming extinct in the UK, as of course the Osprey did become extinct as a Uk species a few years after this article from the British Birds Journal in 1907 until the 1950’s. Link below with that article.
