Is there one for White Wag, M.a. a.?

I'm not a ringer but I thought White Wagtail was the nominate species, with Pied being an endemic sub species?
Perhaps because it is the British Trust for Ornithology.

Thank you for the input. I'm after the 2 letter code; I think it's correct that ssp don't have their own code, so it would be PW for my sighting.
Thanks.

In ringing and nest recording BTO use PW and PIEWA for "Pied/White wagtail". In truth, can these be reliably separated even in the hand ?

Mike.

Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. There's a lot of Icelandic White Wags going through Anglesey at the mo, 3 - 4 weeks later than the peak Pied passage. Yes, quite distinctive with good views. πŸ™‚πŸ‘πŸ¦
