Photos 1-4: Bird seen perched on electric wires in hilly fruit tree/agricultural area. There were a total of 4 individuals with similar appearance, all of which perched on wires near each other, not closely grouped. First thought was a type of bulbul because of size and general shape, but didn't seem quite right. Given the shape and prominence of the crest, the short wings/long tail, and the habitat, Crested Bunting (no males in group...perhaps all female / 1st winter) seems right?
Next up are two different individual pipits. Pipits always feel difficult. Paddyfield is probably at very northern edge of range here; Richard's is likely in winter; don't know about Blyth's abundance in the area. Would appreciate any ideas on these two birds.
