A fortnight ago I saw this distant Buzzard soaring. It was above the little town of Stenico (last part of the Brenta massif sloping down to Lake Garda).
In all probability it's a Common Buzzard. But it's partially rufous colour and the broad trailing bands on (especially) wing and tail make me wonder if it might be a Steppe Buzzard or a Steppe/Common hybrid or intergrade. It was flying on level or at most very slightly raised wings.
