I would like to add something that I remember reading some time ago, and which I got confirmed in Beaman, Madge and Olsen, and which I don't think has been mentioned: look at the tail in image three and four and notice that the central feathers are pale all the way to the tip (or at least almost so) and paler than the other tail feathers; this is typical of juvenile pale CB.
