No unfortunately. We have Nuthatches coming to our bird table and I know their songs, but thanks for responding. It’s driving me crazy not knowing. I actually have a recording of the call and wish I could upload it onto the Forum.Nuthatch maybe.

Wondering whether it might have been a young Green or GS Woodpecker being chased by a Sparrowhawk. Did you get a feel for size, or movement?
No, I didn’t see it at all, which was very frustrating.
I’ve just listened to the GS woodpecker alarm call, and that is really close to what I heard. Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction!

I was referring to the soundspace, woodlands can add quite different dimensions to the sound depending on their makeup, inclines, canopy and spaces, etc. Tiny changes in the echo quality envelope might flag target movement.
