Interesting information; wonder if HFFS people actually do any birding at Grafham; I’d not heard about this group.

A large white -winged gull briefly late pm- lost unfortunately while running to get a view. Probably Glaucous, not seen in the roost.

Colin Addington had a possible Iceland Gull (distantly) from sailing club last night, but it was at last light.

Sunday's WeBS count produced the following highlights; 7 Kittiwakes through east late morning, 3 female Scaup still, Little Ringed Plover, 4 Avocet, Green Sandpiper and still good numbers of Goldeneye around (154).... didn't feel very spring like in the biting easterly though.

22 April Grafham Water ; Little Gull the highlight but a Cuckoo in the lagoons was very vocal. Cetti's Warbler singing.

Not heard a cuckoo here in Norfolk yet, and I drove past Grafham last week!:-C

17 June Grafham Water - Turnstone with broken leg and 2 Ringed Plovers on the dam. At least one Little Egret around the reservoir.

23 June Grafham Water; single Common Scoter from the dam early morning plus 2 Little Egrets.

30/31 June Grafham Water - water dropping nicely now! Little Egrets increasing and large gulls feasting on the dead fish. Looking good.....

7 July Grafham Water ; at least 18 Little Egrets and a large congregation of Tufted Ducks now.
