Rosennanon Downs this evening, birds included 1 male Hen Harrier, 2 Short-eared Owl, 4 Tawny Owl, 1 Merlin, 1 Peregrine Falcon, 1 Kestrel, 7 Woodcock, 10 Snipe, 43 Lapland Bunting, 1 male Snow Bunting, 40+ Reed Bunting, 20 Yellowhammer and 2 Stonechat.

Female Hawfinch this morning (next to the road) then flew SW back along the edge of the Beech wood near the top of the small hill next to Rosennanon Downs, on the road leading back to Wadebridge.
Single flock of 45 Lapland Buntings still at Rosennanon Downs this morning, extremely elusive only possible to see when they move (in flight) impossible to see on the ground in the long grass, plus 1 Short-eared Owl and 70+ Reed Bunting.

Amble Marshes early afternoon, birds included 1 Spoonbill, 4 Whooper Swan, 1 adult Med Gull and 1 Water Pipit in field next to footpath (before new gate)

Rosennanon Downs this morning, birds included 1 American Golden Plover, a small grey-ish Plover showing grey under-wing flew from the bottom end of the central fire-break towards Tregonetha Downs, calling twice, an urgent sad sounding 'koweedle' this individual the only Plover seen on Rosennanon Downs this morning! although 200+ European Golden Plover in the fields at St Breock a little later.
At least 60 Lapland Buntings this morning (photo) moving around the moor and the fields to the south, 80+ Reed Bunting and 6 Common Snipe.

Rosennanon Downs this morning, birds included a Magpie Harassing 2 Short-eared Owl (photo) 84 Lapland, 2 Snow and 100+ Reed Bunting.
Amble Marshes this afternoon 1 adult Spoonbill still (photo) 3 Pintail, 4 Gadwall. 9 Shoveler and 49 Wigeon.

Winter Blackcap singing for the last two mornings, low down around the garden at Wadebridge.
Still 150+ Golden Plover at St Breock (photo)

Two male winter Blackcap singing just yards apart this morning in the garden at Wadebridge; the song, more mellow, less hurried and less scratchy than the summer birds.
26 Lapland Buntings still at Rosennanon Downs yesterday.
