Birdguides notes that 2 Pectoral Sandpipers were at Walmsley Sanc. at 16.30 which is the same time that I saw the Dinham Flats bird so a third bird
This is more than likely Derek, on Sat 13th one juv was present at first light, it then flew off, 10mins later 2 juvs flew in both buffish and showing a lightish cap, this morning a much greyer Pec Sand with darker cap was showing well at Walmsley.
Walmsley Sanctuary this morning birds included, 8+ Curlew Sandpiper, 1 Pectoral Sandpiper, 6 Green Sandpiper, 15 Greenshank, 38 Black-tailed Godwit, 7 Ruff, 41 Dunlin, 5 Curlew, 12 Wigeon, 1 Northern Shoveler, 1 Gadwall, 30+ Teal, 1 Barn Owl, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, 1 Whinchat and 2 Water Rail.

You North Cornwall chaps are pulling out the birds aren't you!

we've got nothing to match you tucked away down here - just a couple of Osprey, a few Curlew Sands and a "secret" Cirl

Keep it up and I may even venture out of Caradon on sunday!

Hello Des,

Hope you have a successful week, please post anything you see. Sightings of Willow Tits are useful, as there are not many sites in Cornwall. St. Breward (Combe) is one such site.
I presume you know Davidstow airfield (watch out for microlites), and Crowdy Res nearby. Apart from the Camel Trail, Wadebridge to Padstow section, there's also Clapper which is behind the rugby club at Sladesbridge (East side of the river at Wadebridge). Treraven pools at the start of the Camel Trail, Wadebridge to Bodmin section.
Then there are the Amble Marshes on the Polzeath road just out of Wadebridge, park at the lights by the bridge. I will let Col and Camelbirder tell you all about that place. I think you may need a key for the hide at Walmsley Sanctuary.
Watch out for a good WSW to WNW wind where Rumps point on the east side of the estuary mouth is a prime sea watch site.
Trevose Head is another site to explore for migrants.
Colliford reservoir on Bodmin Moor and nearby Siblyback Res.
Rough Tor (Pro. Rouwter) can be good.
Padstow to Trevose Head coastal section good.
Anything can turn up and frequently does.
Anything that turns up Colin and Camelbirder usually know about and post on this site.
Regards Gonvena

Guineaport Wadebridge this morning 2 Temminck's Stint! plus 18 Dunlin, 2 Greenshank, 3 Common Sandpiper, 1 Redshank and a Northern Wheatear. Photo of 2nd Stint to follow.

This 2nd Temminck's looked much more greyish and had more extensive dark centres to upper scapulars and mantle centre, there is at least 10mins of video but only poor quality stills.

It looks like lot of money has been spent on the metal bridge at Pendavey, and it could be that the new part of the trail to Sladesbridge is imminent.

They did not mention this at the last users meeting, (unless they did when we were looking at the Buff-breasted Sand)
