No sign of any Water Pipit at Treraven Meadows for the past few days! Today 2 White Wagtail, 8 Teal, 1 Gadwall and 1 Green Sandpiper.
Black Redstart and Blackcap singing at Two Tree's Wadebridge this morning ( is it a wintering Blackcap or a returning spring bird?)
Goldeneye and Northern Shoveler still at Clapper Pools.

Wonderful pictures Colin. The one of the Egret tossing the eel into its beak is superb.
Nothing to report from the outer estuary this afternoon, very quiet.
Been watching these Paddling Surfers. I have a feeling that they look unsteady and may well stay close to the shoreline and maybe worse, use the shoreline as a base. I would suggest that this new activity is monitored and disturbances noted during the summer months.

Beautiful morning, so went to have a look at Treraven. 2 Egret, 2 Mallard, 3 Mutes, a few distant pipits and that were it. So, seeking more I looked at Clapper Ponds. That wasn't much better 39 Canadas, 9 Mallard, 2 Corm, 1 Egret. Still it was a pleasant morning for a stroll. Went back home fer a kip.
