Can anyone i.d this fungi Sth Yorkshire woodland today. (1 Viewer)

This fungUS does indeed look like an elf cup Sarcoscypha.
I kinda hope you're not going to eat a fungus whose ID you're not certain sure of - cos I'm not certain of this one.

Definitely not going to try any apparently identical to the naked eye to another fungus (can't remember if that one was edible also). Did once mistake a mushroom for the one we usually use in cooking and it was incredibly bitter so am very wary now!
