Depite the fact that they gobble up seed like anything I always leave some for my lovely woodpigeon and collared dove. it was especially nice last spring to see the Mr. Woodpigeon bring his newly-fledged chick for a nice meal! In fact feeding pigeons in St Mark's Square whilst a nipper must have given me a ,latent interest in birds that has recently blossomed into my biridng obsession!Also, in Venice there are bird spikes everywhere and the number of pigeons I have seen with foot injuries is quite phenomenal and so much so that I feel there must be a connection.</blockquote>
