People who haven't seen a quail haven't tried hard enough, and by that I don't mean they haven't flushed or lured one, because that's not only illegal but unnecesary. To see a Quail you just need patience and persistence. Set the alarm for 3AM and take a camping stool. Try again in the evening. Try again the next morning. And the next.  I earned the sanctimony I'm showing by spending hour after hour, day after day staring at fields from which Quail were calling before finally getting a flight view.  Graham</blockquote>
