The perched one could be either Ring-billed, or Glaucous-winged. The one on the water, I have no idea. December 2019, Vancouver Island.

both are probably olympic gulls (western x glaucous-winged), but i'm not sure if no 1 is a pure glaucous-winged though. abit hard to tell without an open wing. with this pic it could well be. most resident birds in puget sound/vancouver island are hybrids (olympic gulls).

yes, it does. but actually they are just a big mess. it's a "hybrid swarm" with the center in puget sound. problem is to separate pure glaucous-winged from them and, it gets even more fuzzy since 'Cook Inlet Gulls' (smithsonianus x glaucecens) also occure there during winter.
