Melia Gorriones on 01.03.15 (Fuerteventura)</p><p>Ruddy Shelduck – now clearly common on Fuerteventura with half a dozen at Antigua Plain, 25+ including ducklings at Embalse de los Molinos and two at Barranco de la Maley on 01.03.15 and two with ducklings at Rosa del Taro on 02.03.15 (Fuerteventura)</p><p>Egyptian Vulture – first seen with two at the barranco at Los Molinos on 01.03.15 and then at Rosa de Catalina Garcia and the Mirrador near Betancuria on 02.03.15 (Fuerteventura) </p><p>Sparrowhawk – a couple of sightings at Ruiz Gorge on 26.02.15 and then also Mirrador de la Grimona on 27.02.15 (Tenerife)</p><p>Buzzard – first seen at Punta del Teno on 26.02.15 and then highest count was five at Ruiz Gorge on 27.02.15 with additional scattered singles (Tenerife) and again several sightings on Fuerteventura including Antigua Plain, Rosa de Catalina Garcia and Rosa del Taro</p><p>Kestrel – canariensis more commonly encountered on Tenerife than was dacotiae on Fuerteventura with maybe half a dozen sightings of the latter</p><p>Barbary Falcon – at least two at Punta del Teno on the usual cliffs on 26.02.15 (Tenerife)</p><p>Barbary Partridge – at least two on the hillside opposite the Shell Garage off the TF312 near the roundabout alongside the TF5 at the rear of some tennis courts on 28.02.15 (Tenerife) and at least two on the Antigua Plain on 01.03.15 and one at Rosa several probable sightings but without paying sufficient attention as there were some very dark atlantis Yellow-legged Gulls seen but added to the list at Punta del Hidalgo on 28.02.15 (Tenerife) before being ignored again…..</p><p>Yellow-legged Gull – very commonly seen on both islands</p><p>Black-bellied Sandgrouse – a single seen in flight at Tindaya Plain on 01.03.15 (Fuerteventura)</p><p>Barbary Dove – I should probably have done better looking for dark individuals but one Barbary type confirmed at Hotel Melia Gorriones on 01.03.15 (Fuerteventura)</p><p>Collared Dove – a very common sight on both Tenerife and Fuerteventura – much commoner than on my previous visit in 1999</p><p>Bolle's Pigeon – a single seen flying up the valley and over the derelict Restaurant El Bosque, Ruiz Gorge on 26.02.15 and 4 sightings of 6 birds at Mirrodor Pico de Ingles in the mist on 28.02.15 (Tenerife)</p><p>Laurel Pigeon – maybe half a dozen including good perched Fuerteventura on 01.03.15 and 02.03.15</p><p>Grey Wagtail – a few scattered sightings on Tenerife including whilst en route and at Les Caletillas and at Zona Recreativa de la Caldera</p><p>Robin – ‘Tenerife Robin’ ie subspecies superbus was seen on three visits to the derelict Restaurant El Bosque, Ruiz Gorge on 26.02.15 and 27.02.15 and also at Mirrador Pico des Ingles on 27.02.15 but a single at Zona Recreativa de la Caldera I considered to be a rubecula on 27.02.15 (Tenerife)</p><p>Canary Islands Chat – an unco-operative pair below the dam at Embalse de los Molinos and a co-operative pair at Barranco de la Maley on 01.03.15 & a male flying across the road north of Betancuria and a female at Rosa del Taro on 02.03.15 (Fuerteventura)</p><p>Blackbird – a common sight on Tenerife but only one probable seen briefly from the car on Fuerteventura in the Costa Calma area</p><p>Spectacled Warbler – at least one male at Barranco de la Maley on 01.03.15 (Fuerteventura)</p><p>Sardinian Warbler – relatively commonly encountered on both islands but all too quickly ignored in the hope of finding something more notable</p><p>Blackcap – relatively commonly encountered on both islands but all too quickly ignored in the hope of finding something more notable</p><p>Yellow-browed Warbler – single seen at Pajara on 02.03.15 (Fuerteventura)</p><p>Chiffchaff – a brief snatch of song may have been this species at Erjos Pools on 26.02.15 (Tenerife) but confirmed with at least four present at Pajara on 02.03.15 (Fuerteventura)</p><p>Canary Islands Chiffchaff – very commonly encountered throughout Tenerife from Playa de Las Americas on 25.02.15 whilst looking for accommodation and where we stayed at Les Caletillas to better habitat such as the Ruiz Gorge, Mirrador Pico des Ingles, etc</p><p>Tenerife Goldcrest – some confusing high notes from superbus Robins at times had me scratching my head but heard on three visits to the derelict Restaurant El Bosque, Ruiz Gorge on 26.02.15 and 27.02.15 and also both visits to Mirrador Pico des Ingles on 27.02.15 and 28.02.15 but at least four seen well at Zona Recreativa de la Caldera on the first date (Tenerife)</p><p>African Blue Tit – teneriffae first seen at Las Lajas on 25.02.15 and then seen on three visits to the derelict Restaurant El Bosque, Ruiz Gorge on 26.02.15 and 27.02.15 but also commonly in Puerto de la Cruz, Mirrador Pico del Ingles, Zona Recreative de la Caldera, etc (Tenerife) and degener seen commonly in the vegetation and barranco in the centre of Pajara and also in the centre of town at Betancuria on 02.03.15 (Fuerteventura)</p><p>Southern Grey Shrike – we did not visit the south of Tenerife but common on Fuerteventura such as Antigua Plain, Barranco de la Maley and Hotel Melia Gorriones on 01.03.15</p><p>Raven – first seen on Tenerife at Las Lajas on 25.02.15 and then commonly encountered elsewhere on the island before being very commonly encountered on Fuerteventura – including hand fed ones at the Mirrador near Betancuria on 02.03.15</p><p>Spanish Sparrow – commonly encountered on Tenerife and very common indeed on Fuerteventura</p><p>Canary – first seen at Las Lajas with maybe twenty individuals present on 25.02.15 and seen in habitat at places like the Ruiz Gorge, Punta del Hidalgo, etc but also seen commonly whilst travelling and in the centre of towns such as Puerto de
