Some good news for a change, as the population of Corncrakes on the Hebridean island of Canna has risen.

Corncrake has 'promising' population increase on isle of Canna

The population of the endangered species has increased due to biodiversity supporting measures by the NTS.

I've never been to Canna, but it looks amazing in this photo.

Canna is really great and well worth a visit. I went in mid July this year and heard Corncrakes in eight places so it doesn't surprise me there were more earlier in the season

I like the way it's a bit more out of the way so you'll not get the big crowds you see on other islands.
