From looking at the Canon blurb on the LA-DC52G it would appear that if I wrap some insulating tape around the end of the adapter (to bring the diameter up from 52 to 56mm) and then find a plastic / metal tube that is 56mm in diameter I can connect the two securely and then the whole lot would simply fit over the rubber ring on the zoom eyepiece thus allowing hand-held shots with the camera lens centred and no need for extra adapters. Anyone tried anything like this ?I'm more of a birder than a photographer so I'm basically looking for a simple and very quick solution to mount the camera in as stable a position as possible !Thanks for reading this and for any advice or suggestions you might have.Eugene</blockquote>
