Hello i want to know what is this bird...i dont have a picture but i can explain it is a light shade of grey and has a black beak long legs and is medium sized found in the andes in ecuador please respond

What was it doing? And was it in a tree or on the ground etc?

Hi andean 8, I cant help you as I don't know Ecuadorian birds but anyone who does may need more information such as behaviour, shape of beak, any colours other than gray, tail shape & length, altitude of the sighting, habitat, size compared to other common birds, etc..

Habitat was foggy in a semi forest hopping on my back yard searching for food and i estimate it was the size of a dove. It was similiar to a chacalaca.

Hummingbirds are very small, and don't hop on the ground. They can't walk. They just fly up to food and hover or perch next to it.
