Celebrating 100 lifers (1 Viewer)

In July this year I was introduced to the Merlin app while on a nature wellbeing course. I have always loved the sounds of bird song but never. Learned to identify any but the most obvious birds. I was interested in learning and after a few tries I was hooked. I set myself a challenge to find 100 different birds before Christmas and last week I finally reached my target! The mission has taken me on adventures to some beautiful locations all across Cornwall and I have learnt so much in such a short time. I'm amazed by the diversity on my doorstep that I had been ignorant to before. I am also grateful to the community on here and cbwps who have been patient and helpful with my newbie questions, been a wealth of useful info and allowed me access to a couple of hides. I may be done with my challenge but I know that during my casual hikes in the future I will be keeping an eye out for anything new and feel more appreciative of all the birds I see. I will share with you a few sketches I have done along the way including a coloured one celebrating my 100th lifer. Bragging rights awarded to whoever can identify what they are 😉

Oh very well done CM. You've done so well in your first few months!!

Love the drawings - it's great to see another artist on board.

As James said... whatever you do with your new hobby, have fun at it!!
