Message: <blockquote data-quote="songbird6666" data-source="post: 273000" data-attributes="member: 629"><p>I have seen a male previously, and today the first female with a hideous growth on one foot.  I do remember seeing something on this forum about them once before but it was ages ago, and may be gone now.  They are unable to use this foot at all apart from balancing.  Does anyone know what causes this, and does it go away/get worse.  Does the bird survive?  I feel so sorry for them.  I saw the male last week looking fairly sorry for himself but not since.  Mind, that's not hard as I have been invaded by a large flock of males, there were around 40 on the feeding area about an hour ago.</p></blockquote><p></p>
