But I don't think it is 5x more if you use their retail price as an indicator.  I was surprised to see a brand new older EL 8x42 can be sold for $1300 recently while I paid close to $1900 a few years ago. There got to be a lot of markup in the retail price. Hopefully, in a couple of years, the SV will drop from $1900 to lower $1000 with the help of some competition.</blockquote>
