One of the benefits of the new pager is to tune the alert / display / store settings a bit more finely so you only end up looking at the news you care about... if you can't trust this with your copy, then it defeats the object a bit. For me, the settings are now alert (with different tones) on breaking megas and rarities, and then either display or subtly alert the region I'm in when I'm out and about. No need to wade through every national message to pick up 'new news' any more, although that level of detail is there if and when you want it.I agree that it is a bit more battery-hungry, but I reckon the X3 is a bit improvement overall.... and I'm still liking the occasional wailing mega alert as well (although it would actually be nice to see one of these birds!</blockquote>
