Common Black-Hawk or Mangrove Black-Hawk? (1 Viewer)

Can someone please identify these 2 birds? Pic 1 + 2, as well as, 3+4 were taken on the Playa Grande Estuary, Tamarindo, Costa Rica, but at slightly different times. I believe one or the other or both to be Common Black-Hawk or Mangrove Black-Hawk.
Thanks
Chris

From what I can tell, the flight shots correspond best to the anthracinus (= "common" ) form rather than subtilis ("mangrove "). The white patch isn't very large and there is no clear rufous wash to the secondaries. I don't think perched birds are separable
