Common Buzzard - Poland (1 Viewer)

Hello

Last one from todays trip.. I saw this here together with 2 Black Kites, circling above a forest here in North West Poland

My first thought was a Common Buzzard, but here at home, to me the colours just doesn't seems to match.. Or maybe it's just the sunlight from above, that changes the apperence and colours, compared to how I normally see them with white areas under the wings and tail?

I have attached 2 pictures, one original and one lightened up to give some colours.. It's the same bird on both pictures..

Hallo,
its a Black Kite, please note:
  • forked tail with the right barring mainly on outer feathers with central feathers virtually unmarked (yes, that is whisfull thinking)
  • dark plumage against paler and red/orange-plumaged Red Kite
  • pale grey head with streaking contrasting against darker body=the right pattern and colours
  • just visible pale window of inner primaries
