Common Kingfisher (1 Viewer)

Into the wild...
On a visit to the midlands towards the end of last year (just before the weather turned!), I spent two days photographing Kingfishers.

The first day was very slow and I only got a couple of sightings, but things picked up on the second, and I managed to get the photos below. The set up involved a permanent hide overlooking a stretch of river on a private farm.

(It was also the first time I had seen Kingfishers so close, and was a real moment to remember - such beautiful birds.)

Well these are brilliant images...can anyone get access to the farm...is it the place near Upton warren?

Keith :t:

Don't understand the above...has Adam got a photostream and can I get to see it?

Keith :t:

Hi Keith, my Flickr photostream is in my signature :) And regarding the location, it is looked after by a fellow photographer (Mark Hancox) who has set up workshops there now. Access is only through him I believe.

Mark is a fantastic photographer, and I recommend checking him out at his website: http://www.markhancoxbirdphotography.co.uk. Puts my images to shame!
