2+ Spotted Flycatchers along the canal near Tapenhall.
2 Ravens near Chatley.
Adult and juv Little Grebes between Hawford and Chatley.
Hobby over Chatley on Friday morning.
Little Owl perched in its regular tree at Linacres paddocks on Friday morning.
Yellowhammer near Egg Lane on Saturday.
80+ Swallows this evening at Coney plus a few Sand Martins.
Swift over on Friday - now very scarce.
House Martins still plentiful in several areas.
A couple of Willow Warblers near Hawford on Friday and one near Tapenhall this morning.
Whitethroats, Reed Warblers, Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps, Coal Tits, Nuthatch, Treecreeper, Goldcrests, Sparrowhawk, Buzzards, Green and Great Spotted Woodpeckers.

Wheatear on rubble next to the green barn near Ladywood.

Juvenile Goshawk low over near Chatley heading in the direction of Knight's Grove. It appeared to come out of a pheasant rearing enclosure in a small copse.

Two Redstarts together in the small paddock near Hawford farm - a washed out adult male and a juvenile.

Hobby over Chatley earlier flew towards Tapenhall being mobbed by hirundines.

The Goshawk was perched briefly this morning - I initially mistook it for a Buzzard - until it flew. It initially flew into the copse and its 'elastic' flight action caught my interest. When it flew back out it was obvious this was far more interesting - very large, heavy and thick-set accipiter shape and dark brown streaks on the underside - it flew off with powerful flap-glides until lost to view. I noted it had a full crop so probably had taken and eaten a young pheasant.

Two adult male Redstarts together in Willows along the Salwarpe river near Hawford fishing pools.

Green Sandpiper over Linacre bridge area dropped onto Hawford fishing pools.

Another Tree Pipit over Jacob's Ladder heading west. Or could be the same one moving about.

Two eclipse Mandarins on Tapenhall pool.

A pair of Grey Partridges with one well grown chick near Chatley - great to know they've bred successfully on the patch!

A pristine adult male Redstarto near Hawford farm. Little Owl calling nearby.

2 Yellow Wagtails in horse paddock between Egg Lane and Jacob's Ladder.

Whinchat in adjacent crop field - that's the one I was after - a year tick for me.

The Whinchat was perched in an extensive strip of Fat Hen along the edge of a maize crop then flew onto a nearby hedge then lost to view.

150+ Mallards in a field next to a small pond nearby probably a record count for the patch.

Another Yellow Wagtail over Linacres padocks calling and the Little Owl perched in its normal tree.

Large numbers of hirundines in the area yesterday morning - looked like vis mig as some were passing over in large flocks (100+). Great views of Hobby in pursuit of the ones at a lower level.

2 Lesser Whitethroats yesterday amongst the other Warblers.

Good views of Kingfishers in various places over the past few days.

Little Grebes still.

A Painted Lady butterfly at Hawford farm this morning.
A Peregrine and Raven over there plus an escaped Cockatiel.
2 Ravens over Linacre bridge and another over Mildenham.

A Spotted Flycatcher behind Mildenham Mill. A couple of Willow Warblers on the walk around but not much sign of fresh migration.
