Coney Meadow and Adjoining Areas (4 Viewers)

Little Egret on flood water below Mildenham Mill this morning also cracking male Stonechat.
Also Little Egret below the bridge at Porters Mill
Good spot fella, did Porters Mill to Bridge 3 yesterday, (48 species...good for me!) heard a Water Rail opposite said bridge, also kingfisher in same vicinity. Dave
 
A single Lapwing flew over Salwarpe village this morning.
2 Snipe feeding near floods at New Mill
Chiffchaff near the sewage plant
26 Skylarks (Including 1 flock of 21 near Sinton Lane)
Pair of Stonechats near the bridleway
4+ Siskins Salwarpe Court
Sparrowhawk near Gardner's Grove
Kestrel

A dead Roe Deer near Knight's Grove (photo) - looks like a probable road casualty.😣

Two Snipes flew from the river adjacent to Coney reedbed this morning.
Pair of Stonechats in nearby rough field.
2 Blackcaps between Salwarpe and Ladywood.
Cetti's Warbler

Significant works being carried out in Coney Meadow over the next 4 - 5 weeks, diversifying the reedbed and creating ponds / areas of open water - should be interesting.
