singing Chiffchaffs
Meadow Pipits

Song Thrushes

Water rail calling from canal reeds near west gate.Couple of swallows in with house martins,lots of thrushes around.
Can you spot the cow 8-P

other highlight raven and stonechat.

4 Stonechats together this morning between Salwarpe and Ladywood- 3 males and a female type - continuing a really strong run on the patch for this species.
 
Other species recorded:

3 singing Cetti's Warblers - 1 Coney reedbed, 1 along the canal just west of Salwarpe and another near Tapenhall.
2 Kingfishers
Raven
Cormorant
Meadow Pipits
Skylarks (inc 1 flock of 12)
A few small flocks of Swallows passing through
Siskins over
Mistle Thrushes
Green Woodpecker
Coal Tits
Goldcrests
Chiffchaffs
Blackcaps

Redpoll over yesterday and 2 House Martins over Coney Meadow.

Weasel working its way along the towpath at Porters Mill this afternoon. It spent a good 5 minutes in and out of the verge and flushed out 2 young field mice that hopped away. A big mixed flock of tits also included a chiffchaff , blackcap & nuthatch. 2 house martins over also
