Coney Meadow and Adjoining Areas (14 Viewers)

A Little Egret flew up the valley over New Mill.
1 Whinchat still present perched on Dock plants on my return walk.
Good flock of mixed hirundines including a few Sand Martins
 
Just the one Whinchat seen today - though the other was probably lurking somewhere nearby.

Yellowhammer just north of Salwarpe village
Juvenile Goldcrest
 
Singing Yellowhammer just north of Salwarpe
A bright juvenile Willow Warbler
Sedge and Reed Warblers
Chiffchaffs, Blackcaps and Common Whitethroats

2 Painted Lady butterflies
 
An adult male Common Redstart along the bridleway just north west of Salwarpe village this morning.
3 Willow Warblers in the area including 2 bright yellow singing juveniles
Lesser Whitethroat between Salwarpe and Ladywood
2 Ravens
Jay
2 Sparrowhawks
Rooks
Swallows and House Martins
 
A pair of Grey Partridges near Moat Farm this morning.
A Weasel showed well along Sinton Lane.

Most birds keeping a low profile in the hot weather.
