cork :mid-December ideas pls (1 Viewer)

Hiya

We will be in Cork for the work of Madame from the 12th till the 15th

should be free from noonish on the Friday so will have at least 11/2 days and the weather will be great !

Herself is somewhat French and has never been so far south before
She takes photos and appreciates being sheltered from the wind at least some of the time

Any ideas please
the obvious, to me at least, seems get ou of Cork asap and go to Skibbereen and Cape Clear weather permitting
but the French seem obsessed with Tralee

and do Air Lingus let you take spotting scopes and tripods as cabin baggage
thanks in advance
Vincent

Hello, Harper island is just outside of Cork to the East, and a bit further but to the West there is The Gearagh, which I only visited briefly last month but liked it a lot.

Cape Clear, Baltimore, Skibbereen , etc are great too...just bear in mind that driving time is longer than the distance what you would expect just from looking at a map.

Aer Lingus cabin bagagge size and weight restrictions are clearly stated on their website. If you can fit it all within those limitations, you will be fine.
