Hi all, as I’m sitting here getting over a bout of Covid, I thought I would look at my Merlin app. Set up a life list it said. Well I tried that a year or so ago but got caught in a loop of forgot password, edit this etc and gave up. Today I can’t go anywhere so stuck at it, deleting accounts on my phone and with Cornell, finally in after much faffing to then realise I don’t know how to use it. Fear not, there is a user guide on how to…
At this point I remember what I like about bird watching and it’s not iPhones, accounts, etc, and I can remember where I have seen birds and when, so when I can’t one day I’m not sure a list that I will probably not remember how to access will help, so deleted the bloody thing.
Thought I would share my lurgy related ramblings but obviously had to go through the same process again with the forum here, even though my phone remembers my password..
I will continue to use my memory, it’s worked for 50 plus years and look forward to having the energy to go for a walk in a few day with my binoculars!
Ps still not getting on with my Hdx hawked I bought, getting a ‘halo’ like ring or glare, especially when moving or tracking a bird. Nothing like it with the cheaper Zeiss bins I got as a present for my wife, or my 10!yearvold, battered Barr and Strouds ( all 8 x 42)
Anyway rant over, did see my target bird, the goshawk, a few times this year and plenty more time to go
