Then travelled to Serapiqui, Carara & coast & then to Poas.I think getting a flight-only option - or even flight & accom. - with 1st Choice, then hiring a vehicle & going to other places for part of the holiday would be a cheap option (4x4 hire very reasonable).We would like to do Monteverde & Arenal for a start - both reasonably close to the NW Pacific resorts.I don't like to use guides - very expensive & I like to bird alone - & I might have missed one or two things, but managed OK.
