Sorry to trouble you.
I took some photo's of this bird, which I assume to be Crested Lark. The photo's were at Budapest Airport, which is out of range for Thekla Lark.
Please may I enquire - is this a juvenile bird please or an adult?

Hello,
its an adult bird with such worn tertials and pattern of feathers. 1 cy birds from Germany look differently at this time of the year. For comparison see this 1 cy bird from NE-Germany: , , all: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmPaMoe7 (01.07.2020).
Do you think its a very early hatched 1 cy, where all pale fringes are worn off, thus producing such a worn Crested Lark (maybe by slightly unusual, but within variation dark spots for an adult Crested Lark at the breast sides?)
Its normal/typical for Crested Lark (and Skylark too) to look so clearly and easily visible worn and faded (and in Crested Lark bleached) in summer like you bird, more so, than in other passerines. Reason? Dont know.

Adult in rather worn plumage.

Edit - Strange - I didn’t see Alex’s post before I posted but agree!
Just realised, it’s because I’m on a mobile and didn’t scroll down before posting 😁
